Introducing my name is Ismanto Dwiputra, owner of this “ENGINEERING 4 BETTER” webblog. My educational background is Fak. Industrial Engineering, Jur : Electrical Engineering. He has worked as an Electrical Engineer as well as an Application Engineer in several National Private Companies, building a PLTS project in Papua, building a Radio Broadcast Tower, in Manado and as Chief Engineering in several Apartments, Office buildings in Jakarta. And currently I work in a property management.

I have a concept of a simple but targeted work process in the field of Engineering, especially to be applied to high-rise buildings. Developing a breakthrough and a new way of thinking that can create a situation with such a concept is an interesting challenge to live up to. The simpler the application of states that can be created from a concept, the better. Of course you have to stay on track as well.

 

Not violating the rules of the game or applicable norms, are limits and challenges that need to be understood and considered in developing a new breakthrough. There is no point in creating an innovation that ultimately has to break the rules of the game in its application.

Many have started and adopted this way of thinking, and I am just one of those trying to take part in it.

​

That's what I'm trying to present in this blog which is a collection of stories from personal experiences in experimenting with designing steps to simplify the implementation of daily activities and routines at work so that their implementation becomes more effective and efficient.

Why “ENGINEERING 4 BETTER”?

Actually, a lot of things happen every day around to be able to tell. Especially regarding matters directly related to ENGINEERING, our daily needs and interests in engineering work are one of the things that we can feel the greatest involvement in filling almost every activity that occurs in a multi-storey building. Nearly 90% is concerned with Engineering as the main factor for the operation of a multi-storey building.

Our Engineering Team is always trying to serve better, which is also the motto of our service as an engineer. And we are also always ready to serve with PROFESSIONAL, INTEGRITY, OPEN and RESPONSIBLE, as our foundation in our service work to residents.

competence to carry out their duties and functions properly and correctly, as well as commitment as a profession to improve the ability of an Engineer.

a concept concerned with consistency in actions, values, methods, measures, principles, expectations and outcomes. Engineer with integrity means having an honest personality and having a strong character.

#3 OPEN
with criticism, by interpreting criticism constructively so that it becomes a vitamin and a medicine to improve. From the bad to the good, the good gets better.

#4 RESPONSIBILITY,
every job wherever it requires RESPONSIBILITY, attention, contribution, and care. Engineers who are able to have total responsibility and contribution to the work, will definitely be a person who is totally dedicated to the work.

 

The role of ENGINEERING…

Is one of the support departments responsible for the maintenance, repair, supervision, control of expenses (costs) and control of energy use (saving energy) be it electricity, water, fuel (diesel) as efficiently as possible without compromising comfort, safety, beauty and accountable and can be implemented consistently.

The function of the engineering department in the building is to protect the building owner's assets; the building structure, with the integrity of the walls, floors, ceilings of all fixtures and equipment (“furniture, fixtures, and equipment” or FF&E) contained therein, including electrical transformers and voltage distribution, water and sewage distribution, heating-air-ventilation conditioning systems , fire alarm systems and fire components, vertical transportation systems (elevators). Management utilities such as electricity, water, fuel (diesel). Lighting and sound system and so on. Also ensure health, work safety, safety hygiene (K3SH).

Through several articles about Engineering Building on this website, I try to describe the summary of my experience in finding and determining the necessary boundaries that we as laymen can understand to make Engineering work as it should.

 

Try not to underestimate, Engineering jobs. Because this will always be with us and last forever. Treat and take advantage of Engineering as the main means of support for our daily lives in our place which we are still not able to do on our own.

Hopefully all the material in this blog or site, can bring benefits for us all to be able to maximize it better.
